The purpose of source water protection planning is to unite a community in the common goal of protecting their source water. In crafting a Source Water protection Plan, we are working to ensure safe drinking water by addressing and preventing contamination, which in turn, reduces the costs of water treatment and possibly postpones the necessity of drilling new wells.
